Betty Roussey

Betty Jane Roussey, 80,  of Temperance, Michigan went to be with the Lord on February 20, 2017.  Born November 6, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of Edward and Della (Sliwa) Arcy and lived in Dearborn, Michigan.  She married Louis E. Roussey on November 15, 1958.

 She graduated from Mary Grove College in Detroit with a Degree in childhood education.  She then completed her Master's Degree from Eastern Michigan University. 

 Betty taught first grade at St. Michael's School in Monroe, Michigan for 20 years.  She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Monroe for 38 years.

Chuck McKee

Chuck McKee, 76, of Lambertville, Michigan went into the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, February 18, 2017.  He was born on April 12, 1940 to Charles and Winnie (Montgomery) McKee in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Then, moving to Holland, Ohio when he was young.

             He was a 1959 graduate of Springfield Holland High School. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1959-1963.  On August 19, 1961, he married his true love, Dianne L. Ruesink of Adrian, Michigan. They spent 55 years together raising three children and loving thirteen grandchildren, as well as many other children throughout their lives.

Sandra Gulch

Sandra Lee Gulch, 64, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away February 9, 2017, at the Flower Hospital Ebeid Hospice Residence, after a long illness.

 Born July 22, 1952, in Toledo, she was the daughter of Carl and Marveline (Remusat) McGiffin.  She was a 1970 graduate of Rogers High School and married David Gulch, the love of her life with whom she spent 41 years.

Dennis Ulrich

 Dennis Paul Ulrich, 72, of Temperance, Michigan, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 4, 2017 in  Ebeid Hospice with his family by his side after fighting a battle with lung disease.   

 

Born in Toledo, Ohio on February 20, 1944, Dennis graduated from St. Frances De Sales High School of Toledo, Ohio in 1962, Loyola University of Chicago in 1966 and the University of Toledo College of Law in 1969.  He then passed his bar exam and was admitted into the Michigan Bar Association on November 9, 1969.  He practiced law in Washington Court House, Ohio, then later took a position with the Lucas County Common Pleas Court as a referee in the juvenile division. He eventually served as prosecuting attorney of Monroe County beginning in March 1989 and retired in March 2008.

Marty Eddinger

Martin L. Eddinger, 62, of Temperance, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on February 3, 2017. Born February 4, 1954, he is the son of Dale and Lillian (Ettl) Eddinger. He was a UAW member at Jeep Corporation in Toledo, where he was a welder and union steward. Marty was a pastor on staff at Compelled Church.

Bernard Travers

With immeasurable sadness the family of Bernard W. (Hoppy) Travers of Temperance, Mi. tells you of his passing on Feb. 2, 2017 after battling cancer for several months. He was born to Arthur and Gertrude Travers on July 31, 1946 in Taunton, Mass. where he was also a 1964 graduate of Coyle High School. He was a proud Army vet and served in Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion Sherman Osborn Post 192 in Temperance, Mi. for 37 yrs. He held every office and was elected commander 9 times. He poured his heart and soul into that post as it was his 2nd. home. He was also a member of the VFW Post 9656 in Lambertville, Mi.

Clifford Murphree

Clifford F. Murphree, 91 years, of Oregon, OH and formerly of Temperance, MI passed away

Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at home. He was born August 12, 1925 in Detroit, MI, the son of

William and Othella (Schieber) Cadow. Cliff retired in 1984 from the Detroit Fire Department as

Battalion Chief. He was honored to receive the Medal of Valor for saving 2 children, Detroit's

highest award. Cliff served proudly in the U.S. Navy Seabee's during WWII.

Anthony Kujawa Jr.

Anthony Kujawa, Jr., of Temperance, MI,  the retired President and CEO of Toledo Tool & Die Co. Inc., passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, January 30, 2017. He was 87.

Tony retired in 2004, shortly after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease, from the company his father founded in 1941.

He was a senior at Bedford High School, recently being awarded his diploma
