Thomas E. Haupricht, 86 years, of Petersburg, MI passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015, in the comfort of his home. Tom was an active member of the Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers, Local #45, from 1953 until his retirement in 1991. During his 38 year career he served as President of the Local for many years, as well as, a general foreman for his trade at the Standard Oil Refinery in Oregon, OH.

George E. Sailer, 78 years, of Temperance, MI passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in his home. Born February 1, 1937 in a farm house near Mark Center, OH, he was the son of Floyd and Marie (Northrup) Sailer. The family later relocated to a farm near Ottawa Lake, MI where he spent most of his childhood.
Linda Ann Rombach, 55 years, of Adrian, MI passed away Friday, November 6, 2015. A plating technician, she worked at Kaiser Optical in Ann Arbor, MI, a job in which she loved and took great pride in. The daughter of Charles and Marie (Gose) White she was born March 16, 1960 in Toledo. Linda was a graduate of Summerfield High School. September 14, 1985 she married the love of her life Daniel Rombach.
George Leow, 82 years, of Lambertville, MI peacefully passed away in his home on Saturday, October 17, 2015. George was born on March 7, 1933 to Melvin and Luella (Velliquette) Leow in Toledo. He worked in the Toledo Blade's Printing Department for 40 years and was an active union member. George served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War veteran being deployed to both Korea and Japan. June 6, 1953 he married Barbara Woodbury in St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Toledo.
Marie M. Bennett (Root), 85, of Temperance, MI went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 15, 2015. Marie, along with her identical twin Mae, was born on February 11, 1930 to William and Cora (Coon) Root in Lake Odessa, MI. She graduated from Middleville High School in 1949. Marie was married to Rev. Raymond Bennett on June 9, 1950 in Hastings, MI. Ray and Marie had three children.
Jerome (Jerry) T. Operacz passed away at his home surrounded by his family. The son of Chester and Stella Operacz. A graduate of Roger High School, a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate, and a Master’s in Finance from the University of Toledo. He worked many years at Tenneco Automotive in Monroe MI., where he traveled extensively throughout the world.
An avid traveler, his favorite vacation place was a nice warm beach in the Caribbean to snorkel and explore with his family. Family came first for Jerome, gathering his flock at his small MI Farm where the grandkids, nieces and nephews loved to go frogging or play on the ice and snow on the pond behind the house.

Jean, a gracious lady of strong faith, was very humble, loving and giving. Jean enjoyed being part of the “Comforter” Group at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. Jean delighted all with her homemade cinnamon rolls.
Kenneth O. “Butch” Thomas, 72 years, of Toledo, OH passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 in Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania. A welder for the Chrysler Corporation, he retired after 34 years. The son of Edward and Florence (Chamberlin) Thomas he was born November 8, 1942 in Toledo.
He was a U.S. Airforce veteran. Butch’s hobbies included racing with both of his sons at Toledo Speedway and building models.
Jerome “Jerry” Ostermyer, 80 years, of Temperance, MI passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at his home. A diesel mechanic for many years. The son of Charles and Marietta (Simone) Ostermyer, he was born on June 27, 1935 in Toledo, Ohio. Jerry enjoyed classic cars. He was a member of Douglas Road Wesleyan Church.
