Carolyn “”Carol”” Merritt, 76 years, of Temperance, MI passed away on June 16, 2018 in Ebeid Hospice Sylvania, OH. The daughter of Leon and Victoria (Marciniak) Krerowicz she was born July 22, 1941 in Toledo, OH.
Carol worked for K-Mart on Central Ave. for 24 years and for 5 years at Express Bill. She enjoyed camping, playing slot machines, travelling, although she hated flying, and spending time with family, especially watching her children and grandchildren participate in various events.
Carol is survived by her children Norm (Brenda) Kujawa, Donna (John) Decker, Gary (Christine) Kujawa, and Robert (Kavita) Merritt Jr.; grandchildren John, Josh, Tyler and Tessa Decker, Jaime (Kujawa) Sirmans, Norman and Richie Kujawa, Garryt and Jared Kujawa, Leela Merritt; great-grandchildren Morgan, Jack, Tyler Jr. and Trent Decker, Quinn and Titan Sirmans, Nolan Kujawa, brother Richard (Betty) Krerowicz. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Norman Kujawa, second husband Robert Merritt Sr., brother Ron Krerowicz, niece Kelly Krerowicz, and companion “”Kya””.
The family thanks the staff at Ebeid Hospice and Promedica Hospice Monroe, especially Lori, for their tenderness and care in her final weeks.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave Temperance, MI wherethe Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation will follow.
To my cousins Norman, Donna, Gary and Bobby, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. Gary it was so nice that you came when my mom passed at almost the same age. In the last 6 weeks I have had 2 surgeries and am in a wheelchair (u don't want to see me). I did want to tell you that I am thinking of you and praying for you. I still have fond memories of all the summer parties when we got together to celebrate anything. Seemed like there was often a reason to come together to drink, eat too much and gossip. I recall your grandmother and Richie as being the life of the parties. Those were the days when we didn't have a care in the world. I am on Facebook if you would like to get in touch.
