Charlotte Yaross, age 90, passed away peacefully, September 23, 2018. She was born on March 22, 1928 in Toledo to Adam and Regina (Nowacki) Sablowski. She was a graduate of Libbey High School, Class of 1946. She married Robert J. Yaross in 1949 and worked as a personal shopper at the Lion Store and Dillards until 1988.
After retirement she and Bob liked to spend their winters snow-birding with friends in Ft. Myers until Bob’s death in August 2000. She was a life member and a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary 545. Charlotte was a life-long avid reader and enjoyed bunko and bingo at the Bedford Senior Center. She was particularly pleased with her “four queens and one king” all completing their college education.
Charlotte is survived by her children, Cynthia (Daniel) Riley, Robert Jr. (Shirley) Yaross; grandchildren, Jennifer (Eric) Tunison, Lori Yaross, David (Caroline) Riley, Kelly Riley and Rebecca (Chad) Weaver; great-grandchildren, Jared & Jacob Tunison, Bradley and Bryson Weaver, and sister Helen Pacholski.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave, Temperance, MI. A Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 8330 Lewis Ave, Temperance, MI, where she will lie in state in the narthex after 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Bedford Senior Center or Bedford Public Library.
