Sanford Mitchell Jr.

Posted 11/15/2018
Sanford George Mitchell Jr., known to family as “Bud” and to friends as “Sandy," passed away on Sunday November 11, 2018 at age 70 from complications resulting from pancreatic cancer. He was born on July 3, 1948 to Sanford and Joyce Mitchell.
Sanford had a passion for four things in life; faith, family, friends, and automobiles. Through
faith, hard work and sacrifice, he provided everything he could for his family, and would always
make time for those he loved. He was a stranger to no one. It didn’t matter who you were or
where you were from, he could strike up a conversation with anyone and leave the conversation
with a new friend. His personality and ability to make friends led him to meeting people all
around the world who shared his passion for automobiles. His friendships allowed him to travel
to South Africa, Mexico, Columbia, and Argentina and in turn, he opened up his house to host
many guest.
Sanford Mitchell Jr. is survived by his loving wife, Dolores Mitchell (Miller); his two beloved
sons, Sanford (wife Nicole) and Travis (wife Rebecca); his granddaughters, Joni and Jocelyn;
his three sisters, Stephanie Rawson, Shelly Beohnlein, and Stacia (Stacey) Mitchell.
