Susanne Kujawa

Susanne J. “”Sue”” Kujawa, age 77 of Temperance, MI passed away on October 2, 2017 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio after a brave and courageous 8 year battle with cancer. Sue was born May 10, 1940 to Robert and Frances Jay.

She married Ronald Kujawa on May 27, 1961. Together Sue and Ronald raised 6 children until Ronald lost his battle to cancer in 1993. Sue graduated from the University of Toledo’s Nursing program at the age of 45 and later had a 19 year nursing career at the former Medical College of Ohio. Sue was loved by all, was kind, generous and loving, and was deeply admired by her family. She loved to garden, socialize, research her genealogy and travel, but most of all Sue loved her family. 

Sue is survived by 5 of her children, David(Marlene) Kujawa, Mark(Laura) Kujawa, Deborah (Louis) Boraggina, Brian (Molly) Kujawa, Tamera (Andrew) Roesner; 18 grandchildren, Andrea Boraggina, Chrissy (Justin) Heller, Jessie (Tim) O’Brien, Katrina Boraggina, Louie Boraggina Jr., Lydeyiah, Teyghyn, Appollonna Roesner, Chianna, Sanibel Kujawa, Tyler (Alyssa) Kujawa, Kyle (Karlee) Kujawa, Trent (Dakota) Kujawa, MaKayla Kujawa, Kayla, Zach, Maddie and Belle Winters and a great-granddaughter, Mia Heller. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Kujawa, her daugther, Denise Winters, her brother, Thomas Jay and by her parents, Robert and Frances Jay. 

Visitation will be Friday, October 6, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave., Temperance, MI where the funeral service will be Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Palmyra Cemetery.
