William Musil

William "Bill" J. Musil, age 85, of Toledo, OH passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Friday, November 16, 2018 at The Vibrant Life Senior Living, Temperance, MI under the care of Great Lakes Hospice. The son of Joseph and Anna (Brezina) Musil he was born on March 10, 1933 in Toledo, OH. On February 21, 1953 he married Tina Bojinoff in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Point Place. She preceded him in death on January 9, 2006 after 53 years of marriage
A loving husband and father, he was affectionately known as "Dedu" to his grandchildren. A
1951 graduate of Waite High School, he then served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. A
Journeyman Electrician, he worked for Libby Owens Ford for 10 years, Allied Chemical,
Plaskon Products for 25 years until they closed in 1990, and retired from the City of Toledo,
Water Treatment Plant after several years. The main provider, he always made sure the needs of
his family were always met.
An avid Ohio State "Buckeyes" fan, Bill enjoyed playing golf, camping, and fishing. He loved
helping others and working on projects. He mostly looked forward to attending the
grandchildren's sporting events and activities. Bill was a charter member of the Bulgarian-
Macedonian Cultural Society, and along with Tina enjoyed passing on cultural traditions as well
as camping with his family and spoiling the grandchildren. He especially enjoyed his trip to the
Bahamas with Tina and their close friends. He was also a member of OLPH Catholic Church, the
Knights of Columbus, Catholic War Vets, and the Happy Wheelers Camping Club.
Surviving are his sons; Stephen (Jil), Joseph (Sue), Russell (Lisa); grandchildren; Lynsey (Jeff)
Specht, Austan (Tina Oranday), Talor, Hanna, Chelsey, Kayla, Luke, Erin, Conner; great-
grandchildren, Jon Specht, Kallie Specht and Ava Rawski-Musil. He was also preceded in death
by his parents, brother, Larry and granddaughter Gabrielle.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the
Urbanski's Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI where a prayer
service will be held at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 20,
2018 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church 4555 North Haven Ave. Toledo,
OH 43612 where he will lie in state after 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial
Park where Military Honors will be conducted by Lambertville VFW 9656. Memorial donations
may be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
