Alice Truna

Alice A. Truna, 98 years, of Temperance, MI formerly of Erie, MI passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born one of ten children in Toledo, OH on April 18, 1924 to Stanley and Constance (Kremnetz) Kosinski.

On September 8, 1945 she married Louis F. Truna. They enjoyed 70 years together raising their family and traveling. Alice worked at LaSalle’s downtown Toledo and then at Macy’s at North Towne Mall retiring in 1985. She was an active member in the Keenagers at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Temperance, MI and worked at the funeral luncheons.  Alice loved crafting, cooking and crocheting. Eastertime, Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve dinners were always special and her family gathered around the table for some delicious Polish food.

Alice is survived by her children, Tim (Evelyn), Robert and Janice (Joe) Posadny; grandchildren, Dale (Traci), Jenelle (Robert) Buschman, Adam, Mark (Jessica) Lindsay, Karen (Andrew) Ferguson, Andy Belicka, Lori Posadny; 7 great-grandchildren and her brother, Sylvester Kosinski. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Louis and her siblings. A special thank you to Shelly Taylor for the wonderful care she gave Alice.   

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI. with a Scripture Service being held at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church 8330 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI. where visiting will begin in the narthex after 10:00 a.m. Cremation will follow.  In Lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
