Barbara Jean Pfaff, 78 years, of Lambertville, MI passed away in her home on Sunday, December 27, 2020. She was born on September 15, 1942 to Ray and Lillian (Alloway) Schnaak in Elyria, OH. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother she will be deeply missed all who knew and loved her.
Besides being a homemaker, Barbara held several jobs through the years that demonstrated her servant’s heart and love for people. She was employed in the cafeterias of the University of Toledo, Toledo Public Schools and Bedford Public Schools, later serving as a bus aide for the special needs children at Bedford. She also worked the register for six years at the Hometown Buffet, earning recognition for her dedicated service. Barbara had a gift of caring for people becoming certified in Dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson care for Interim Health Care.
Barbara’s favorite time of the year was Christmas and she loved anything related to the Grinch. She had an extensive collection, which brought a smile to anyone visiting. She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Frank A. Pfaff; children, Tammy M. Schweickert, Frank A. Pfaff Jr., Kimberly Pfaff and Joseph B. Pfaff; 3 sisters, Beverly Cummerou, Donna Krzeminski and Diane Corey; brother, Bill Schnaak; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Barbara is preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Schnaak and Donald (Dody) Schnaak; sister, Beatrice “”Betsy”” Pratt.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until Noon in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave Temperance, MI where the funeral service will be held at Noon. Burial will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery. Due to Covid-19 masks are required in the funeral home.
