Carol Cowdrey, 79 years, of Ottawa Lake, MI passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022 in her home. The daughter of Burdette and Frances (Osgood) Babcock, she was born February 25, 1943. She married Clarence Cowdrey on February 3, 1962 and together raised 5 children. Carol previously worked at Whiteford Schools, Sautter’s Market and Standard Federal Bank.
Up until last year she worked for her son mowing the township park. Carol also enjoyed trips to the Casino and to Shipshewana. Some of her past hobbies included bowling and ceramic making. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, she will be greatly missed by all.
Carol is survived by her children, Darlene (Ron) Mills, Brenda (Brent) Stachowiak, Mark Cowdrey, Shelley (Rick) Ebersole, Robert (Chrissy) Cowdrey; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 7 siblings; and many close friends. She was preceded in passing by her parents and husband; infant son, Calvin; and grandson, Lee.
A special thank you to her loving caretaker and daughter Shelley, who was always at her side during her recent illness.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue Temperance, MI where the funeral service will be held Monday, March 28, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., officiated by pastor, Richard Deisler. Burial will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
