Agnes Marie DeBruyne, 97 years, of Temperance, MI passed away Saturday February 17, 2018 in Wellspring Lutheran Nursing Home, Monroe, MI. The daughter of Richard and Irma (Jacques) Vanhaerents, she was born March 13, 1920 in Turnhout, Belgium.
September 25, 1943 she married Henry DeBruyne in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Deerfield, MI. A long time member of the Bedford Senior Center she loved to square and line dance. Agnes retired from Bedford Public Schools after 15 years of service.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Barbara) DeBruyne, Linda (Robert) Cooley, Gary (Donna) DeBruyne; grandchildren, Juliane (Gregory) Nieszala, Marc (Sandy) DeBruyne, Scott (Michelle) Cooley, Renee Palmer, Ryan (Tiffany) DeBruyne, Stacy (Andrew) Weber, Jason (Jaime) Smith; 11 great-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and one more on the way. She is preceded in death by parents, husband; brothers, George, Gerard, Remi and a sister Georgette.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave., Temperance, MI. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church where a visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Donations may be made to Bedford Senior Center or Promedica Hospice.
