Betty Engle

Betty May Engle, 88 years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 23, 2019.

Betty lived most of her life in Toledo, OH, she lived the past 2 years in Temperance, MI. She was born August 31, 1931 in McComb, OH to Eugene and Vesta (Butler) Metz.

August 4, 1951 she married Elmer Franklin Engle and they were married for 60 years until his death in 2011.

Her smile was the best, always big and bright. It warmed her heart and brought her joyful smiles holding her precious grand babies. She had a fondness for tea and sweets; she enjoyed cuddling with her pups; and spending a lot of time flower gardening.

Betty was a member of the Lambertville United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary Conn Weissenberger Post 587, and Order of the Eastern Star Yondota #317.

Betty is survived by her loving children; Janet Komisarek, Linda Engle, Carol (Ron) Cluckey; a brother, Fred (Judy) Metz; and many grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; siblings, John Metz, Shirley Metz, and Donna Metz.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 27, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI Burial will be private.
