Betty Stevens

Betty Lou Stevens, 74 years, of Temperance, MI passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023. The daughter of Stanley and Betty (Pugsley) Krzeminski, she was born on June 26, 1948 in Toledo, OH. Betty married the love of her life Carl W. Stevens Jr. on February 24, 1966. She worked in the waste industry alongside her husband for over 50 years and Stevens Auto for over 30 years.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother she will be greatly missed. Betty was extremely caring, she took care of everyone and everything. She enjoyed her summers at the lake cottage and ready to enjoy the winters in their Florida home. Betty loved butterflies, enjoyed gardening, flowers, crossword puzzles, bowling but most of all she loved her family.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Carl Jr.; children, Carl III (Wendy) Stevens, Ron (Heather) Theiss, Pierre (Amy) Stevens, Katherine Schlegel, Steven (Julie) Stevens, Timothy (Tracy) Stevens, Thomas (Teri) Stevens, Amy Branham; sisters, Patricia Growden, Linda Starr, Sandra Krzeminski, Cheryl Krzeminski and a ton of grand and great-grandchildren, which is why she called herself the greater grandma.

She is preceded in death by her son, James Stevens; sister, Anna Schnaak; brothers, Stanley Krzeminski Jr. and Edmund Krzeminski.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 pm in Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI. where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any drug rehabilitation or depression treatment center.
