Billie L. Bracey, 82 years, of Petersburg, MI passed away on Tuesday November 2, 2021 in his home. He had worked at GM Powertrain for over 30 years. The son of Russell and Marion (Masten) Bracey, he was born June 8, 1939 in Monroe, MI.
Billie loved his classic cars and was a member of the Placers Car Club for many years. He enjoyed hunting and hanging out at the VFW in Petersburg with his many friends. He also
loved to dance and liked to slick his hair back. A avid wrestling fan especially Bedford, where his grandson, Jimmy excelled in the sport. He loved his family and looked forward to spending time at his place at the lake.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Marion “”Cookie”” Monhollen; grandchildren, Jimmy Schmidt, Lucas (Kaitlyn) Monhollen, Sheila Monhollen, Elizabeth Bracey, Billy Bracey, Amanda Light, Alicia Light, Deanna Light; his loving companion for nearly 20 years, Patricia Weyher and her daughters, Shelley Hottenstein, Lisa Roberts, Betsy Bogedain; and many loving great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou (Malosh) in 2001 and his son, Billy Ray in 2014.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 5, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Temperance. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
