Carlene Rose Kohls, 69 years, of Temperance, MI, passed away peacefully at home, Monday December 13th, 2021, due to complications with cancer.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 40 years, David Kohls. She was the beloved mother of her four children, Chad Fleitz, Kellie (Ritch) Weasel, Keith Fleitz and Bob (Kristin) Kohls. As well as the proud grandmother of Dylan and Josh Weasel and Hayley, Alaina and Knoxson Kohls.
Born May 19th, 1952 in Toledo, Ohio, as the only child of Carl and Adeline (Rice) Featzka. They gave Carlene her name as a combination of their own and their love for her. She went on to graduate from Start High School in the class of 1970.
Always the hard worker, Carlene held many jobs from accountant at the local Ford dealership, to the shipping manager at Nazar Rubber Co. from which she retired. In her younger years, Carlene loved to spend her free time playing golf and as part of the family bowling team. She would go on to enjoy gardening, playing fetch with the dogs, and of course, cheering on the Green Bay Packers. It was later in life she found true peace and serenity at the lake house, while boating, playing cards and Backgammon with her husband David. She will be truly missed by all and forever in the hearts of those that had the pleasure to know her.
Visitation will be Friday, December 17th, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI, where the funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Lenawee.
