Carol “Sue” Moon, 86 years, of Lambertville, MI passed away Friday, March 31, 2023.
The daughter of Carl and Mary (Smith) Porter she was born December 18, 1936 in Samaria, MI. Her father died in 1940 when Sue was just 4 years old. She had worked in the packaging department of Owens-Illinois for many years.
She married Clayton Moon, and they were together nearly 70 years, being married for over 65 of those years. They enjoyed traveling, going to all 50 states and went on several cruises in the Caribbean islands.
Sue was a Girl Scout leader and volunteered at the Bedford Library History Department for many years. She also liked visiting casinos and clogging.
She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sue is survived by her loving husband, Clayton; children, Sandra (Paul) Huepenbecker, Steven Moon; sister, Ella Jean Biladeau; granddaughters, Amiee (Richard) Mac Donnell, Maria (Ken) Payne; great-grandchildren, Michael Payne, and Jessica Payne. She was also preceded in death by a brother, James Porter, and a sister, Patricia Gargoshian.
Visitation will be Friday, April 7, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI where the Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Lambertville Cemetery.
