Charles Mann

Charles “Chuck” Lee Mann, 69 years, of Lambertville, MI, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015 in ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Sylvania, OH. He was employed with Owens Community College as Treasurer and Sr. Vice-President from April 12, 1976 to December 12, 2006. In a retirement commendation, Charles was applauded for his unwavering dedication, commitment to excellence, and extraordinary trustee service throughout his more than 30 years of work. 

He was born August 17, 1945 in Morenci, MI to Ernest and Catherine (Fitzpatrick) Mann. Charles married Janice Lee Fischer June 30, 1967 in St. Joseph Church, Adrian.

         Chuck liked watching sports; especially University of Michigan Wolverines, Detroit Tigers, and Owens Basketball. He also enjoyed shopping and looking for a sale, gardening, reading, cars, his dogs, and especially his grandchildren.

     He is survived by his loving wife, Jan; children, Julie (Julian) Nicholls, Charles ( Laverne) Mann, Kathleen (Demetrius) Owens and Jessica (Erwyn) Arizo; grandchildren, Sam and Jack Nicholls, Malakai and Gabby Owens, and Myla Arizo; sisters, Peggy Reynolds and Gwen Greenman; sister-in-laws, Pat Fischer, Nancy (Del) Cochran and Sue Marquis.  

      A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 1:00 p.m in Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue Temperance, MI.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Owens Community College or Planned Pethood.
