Constance “”Connie”” Marie LaPointe, age 86, of Ottawa Lake, MI passed away October 22, 2016 in Vibrant Life Assisted Living. The daughter of William and Constance (Turnbull) Turner she was born on August 23, 1930 in Toledo, Ohio.
Constance was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and dedicated her time caring for her family. A member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She was a clerk at the post office and substitute rural mail carrier, belonging to the auxiliary of rural letter carriers.
Constance is survived by her loving children, Thomas (Geana) LaPointe, Chris (Mario) DiTerlizzi, Cindy (Tom) Myers and Michael (Esther) LaPointe; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Lyle, parents; brothers, William and David.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue Temperance, MI. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony Catholic Church, Temperance, MI. where visiting will begin after 10:00 a.m in the narthex. Though I only visited a handful of times, I think the combination of these visits and the many stories that my Dad and Grandmother shared over the years have left a special place in my heart for our "Michigan" family. I fondly remember Connie preparing for Chris' wedding and welcoming me into her home. My thoughts are with you all during this so difficult time. Love, "Ronnie" Steele
