Dale A. Osten 75 years, of the Point Place Community passed away Saturday November 29, 2014 in Heartland of Oregon Care Center. A truck driver for the Bendix Corporation for 15 years, he also drove for the Hilfiger Corp 7 years retiring in 1990. The son of Norman and Eunice (Clement) Osten, he was born June 21, 1939 in Toledo. September 15, 1962 he married Diane Secor in St. Pius X Catholic Church.
A very active member of the River View Yacht Club, he served three terms as Vice Commodore, four terms as Rear Commodore, Entertainment Man twice, and served many Chairmanships and Work Details. Dale also was a member of Teamsters Local #20, and Forrester’s Intl. He is survived by his loving wife of over 52 years, Diane, children, Michael (Maria) Osten, Sandra Osten, Karen Micenic, step-mother, Marion Hallauer step-sister, Patricia Barkimer, 4 grandchildren, Jacob Osten, Jessie, Jamie and Jennifer Micenic, and great-granddaughter, Payton Micenic. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 till 8PM in Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI where funeral services will be held at 4:00pm followed by River View Yacht Club services at 6:00pm.
