David Earl Shull

March 13, 1941 - December 25, 2025

David Earl Shull, a dedicated husband, father, and veteran, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 25, 2025 under the care of Ohioans Hospice in his Walbridge, OH home at the age of 84.

The son of Robert and Dorothy (Williams) Shull he was born March 13, 1941 in Toledo, OH. David graduated from Waite High School in 1959 and proudly served in the U.S. Army from June 1959 to June 1962. After his military service, he built a successful career in maintenance, eventually becoming an apartment maintenance supervisor.

David married Beverly Vance on September 29, 1979 in Toledo, and they shared 46 wonderful years together. In 1993, they relocated to Florida, where they lived until 2011, before retiring in Kissimmee in 2004. David’s commitment to his family and his work left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Always happy, he loved golf, music, and dancing.

He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; daughters, Lisa (Robert) Perry, Lynn Gumieny; stepdaughter, Denise (Randy) Kemp; son, David Jr. (Nancy) Shull; stepsons, Dennis (Linda) Vance, Chris (Barbara) Vance, Joseph Vance, Byron (Lynn) Vance; brother, Ronald (Bobbi) Shull; and many grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Robert, Howard, and James.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements were entrusted to Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI.

Dave was always a very nice and friendly person. One of the first to talk and open up to us. We met him in Ohio at some of our band gigs (Storm Bandits). He was always having fun, dancing and singing to the songs we'd play. We pray for his family and friends. He will be missed.
