David “Osto, Oscar, Dave” Michael Ostachnowicz, 58, passed away peacefully in his home in Temperance, Michigan. He was born April 4, 1957 to Ervin and Arlene (Oberski) Ostachnowicz in Toledo, Ohio. He was a superintendent and family co-owner of O & S Construction. He served as a previous officer and active member with the River View Yacht Club, since 1997. He enjoyed spending time on the water in his boat, riding his Harley, and spending every moment laughing with friends.
Dave is survived by his father, Ervin Ostachnowicz; his beloved, Heidi Janowicz; his daughter, Samantha Diaz-Ostachnowicz (Cory Tomaszewski) of Toledo; 2 grandchildren Logan and Kinley; Heidi’s daughter, Rachael; 2 siblings Ervin J (Vicky) Ostachnowicz of Ida and Diane (Michael) Sedlar of Petersburg, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Arlene Ostachnowicz; his grandparents and friends whom he loved dearly.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 4:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave Temperance, MI where a Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Sunday March 20, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. A celebration of David’s life will take place following the service.
