Dolores (Dot) J. (Houke) Lindquist, 86 years, of Toledo, OH. Passed away peacefully January 28, 2019 at Merit House of Toledo with family at her side, in the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Born on January 31, 1932 in Toledo, Ohio to Cloyd and Marie (Reed) Houke.
Graduated in 1950 from Bedford High School. Worked most of her life at a variety of jobs, her most memorable jobs were Devilbiss as a clerk, Raceway Park as a bar maid & Salvation Army as a store supervisor. Dot retired in 1985 due to health issues. She loved to visit family, making quilts, putting together puzzles and having company over. She loved to go for drives in the country.
Surviving are her children, Laurie (Greg) Davenport of Sparta, Michigan, David (Terry) Lindquist of Temperance; grandchildren, Lorilee (Jeremy) Giddings, Rebecca (Bill) Lambert, Travis Lindquist, Greg Jr & Nikolas (Ashley) Davenport; great-grandchildren, Hailey & Aubrey Giddings, Lennox, Jacob & Raelyn Davenport; sisters, Lillian Cadaret & Patricia Trychel.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cloyd & Marie Houke; brothers, Jack, Cloyd (Junior) & Sam Houke; sister, Peggy Graham, also special friends George Kolb & Lowman Wagle.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle, MI.
