Dorothea “”Dot”” Galdeen , 97 years, of Temperance, MI passed away on January 9, 2018 at The Lakes of Sylvania. The daughter of Myrl and Barbara (Graber) Scott she was born on May 6, 1920 in Evart, Michigan.
Dorothea was a graduate of Evart High School. On September 10, 1938 she married Clifford E. Galdeen in Napoleon, OH. A member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Temperance, MI., she enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, but most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Dorothea is survived by her loving children, Myrl (Glenda) Galdeen, David Galdeen, Karen (David) Czelada, Barbara (Dean) Nieman; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clifford and grandson, Nicholas Galdeen.
Visitation will be Friday, January 12, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave., Temperance, MI. The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Temperance, MI at 11:00 a.m. where she will lie in state after 10:00 a.m.Burial will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery.
