Douglas James Bushroe Sr., 77 years, of Monroe, MI passed away at the Fountain View of Monroe under the care of ProMedica Hospice on Thursday, June 23, 2022. The son of Gabriel and Laurine (Stark) Bushroe he was born on May 21, 1945 in Monroe, MI.
Douglas was a well-known self-employed mechanic who was a dreamer and someone who flew by the seat of his pants in everything he did.
He is survived by his children, Douglas (MaryJo) Bushroe Jr., Jody (Dawn) Bushroe and Misty Matthews; as well as multiple grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and all his siblings.
Per his wishes, cremation was held and there will be no services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI.
