Floyd Vaillant, 70 years, of the Point Place Community passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 in his home. An owner of a structural engineering firm, he was also a master carpenter. The son of Earl and Suzanne (Wise) Vaillant he was born April 16, 1951 in Toledo, OH. A graduate of Whitmer High School where after graduation he married Linda Sue Krueger and started their family.
A lifetime member of River View Yacht Club, he loved taking boating trips to St. Clair Shores, Algonac, and the Lake Erie Islands, and snowmobiling in northern Michigan. He also had a passion for building his extensive train collection, decorating for Christmas, and helping out anyone he could while cheering on his grandkids in all their endeavors.
While raising his kids, he enjoyed coaching them baseball and softball, traveling to watch his son play college football, and restoring Jeeps and his beloved antique Chris Craft.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Sue; children, Kelli Garn, Mike (Mary), Matt, Megan; grandchildren, Isabella, Hannah, Alexandra, Daniel, William, Kennedy, Koltan, Waylon; sisters, Dawn (Marty) Krueger and Gail (Ron) Mishka.
Cremation has been held. Arrangements entrusted to Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 LewisAvenue Temperance, MI.
