Frederick Edward Abramson

Frederick Edward Abramson, aged 84, passed away on September 14, 2025. Born on January 31, 1941 in Houghton, Michigan, Frederick was a man of principle, wisdom, quiet strength, wry humor, unwavering independence and generosity.
He served in the Navy on the USS Vulcan (A-5) and retired from the Fermi II nuclear power plant after many years of valued service.
He was a loving, proud and supportive father to his surviving children, Brian Abramson, Cari Sorsa and Rachel Sorsa; and loving grandfather to Nolan Abramson, Regan Abramson, Sara Felske and Audrey Felske.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Helga (Wayrynen) Abramson; sister, Elsie McRae; niece, Cindy McRae Faciane; son, Richard Loucks and granddaughter Erika Abramson.
Frederick was an avid motorcyclist; loved nature and the great outdoors, NASCAR, cooking, photography, movies, old country music and his many beloved dog companions.
Frederick’s legacy is one of integrity, loyalty and love.”
