Gary Lee Betz

Gary Lee Betz, 77 years, of Temperance, MI passed away peacefully in his home with his wife, Susie by his side on Saturday, September 27, 2025 under the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The son of Robert and Marilyn (Lowery) Betz, he was born on September 23, 1948 in Tecumseh, MI.

He owned and operated Betz Well Drilling in Adrian, MI and spent over 40 years doing what he loved, whether it was drilling a new well or helping people repair theirs. His four years in the U.S. Air Force were some of the best times of his life. His family loved hearing about his times in Germany and the friendships he made.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Susan; son, Carl; daughter, Ann; sister, Vicki; and he was blessed to have his grandchildren, Emily, Jessica, Kyle and Kennedy; along with great-grandchildren, Barrett, Leo and Daisy. He was preceded in death by parents and brother, Terry Betz.

The family would like to give a special thanks to his nurse, Corey, who became a very important part of their lives. She was more than his nurse rather she became family. The V.A. was a blessing, and his nurse, Kelly, was always only a phone call away.
