Gary R. Pentz, Sr., 84 years, of Temperance, MI passed away Friday, September 10, 2021 in his home. He had worked on the loading dock at Roadway trucking, retiring after 32 years.
The son of Howard and Myrtle (LaPontney) Pentz he was born November 26, 1936 in Toledo.
Gary was a volunteer firefighter for the Bedford Fire Department for many years. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Lambertville VFW #9656. Gary loved hunting, fishing, and trapping as his favorite pastimes.
He is survived by his daughters, Tammy Pentz, Sherry Pentz, Vickie Pentz Eberflus; son, Gary Pentz, Jr.; grandchildren, Kristopher Shull, Nichole Shull (Chris) McClain, David and Brian Eberflus, Kyle Turnbull; 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Gary was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years on December 31, 2010, Lucy (Tauzin); parents; brother, Bruce Pentz; and a sister, Charlotte Pentz.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the
Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI. Burial will follow in Toledo Memorial Park where Military Honors will be conducted by the Lambertville VFW 9656.
