Glenn A. Osenbaugh, 95 years, of Toledo, OH passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
Born on September 3, 1927 in Monroe, MI to Glen and Marcella (LaPointe) Osenbaugh, he lived in various locations during his lifetime. A heavy equipment operator, Glenn was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He had lived in New Jersey and Kalkaska, MI where he owned and operated rental cabins with a small farm attached. A great handy man, Glenn “Art” helped a lot of people and most of them he did not charge. Also, an avid coon hunter, he loved Blue Grass and Country music. Glenn was a self-taught guitar and violin player and played music all of his life with various friends. A few of those friends, Charlie, Tony, and Tony came to play for him in his last days; he even joined in and managed to play the violin with them.
He was loved and respected by many.
He is survived by a son, Brian (Christine) Osenbaugh; brother, Bob (Syd) Osenbaugh; the love of his life for 41 years, Suzanne Rahilly; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol (Conn); sons, Glen “Buster” and Mark; daughter, Carol; sisters, Dolores “Maggie” Bogdanski and Shirley Claussen; brothers, Danny, Nelson, and Elroy.
A memorial gathering will take place on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI. Interment of his ashes will be on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in Lambertville Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by Lambertville VFW Post #9656.
