Ina Marie Antoine

Ina Marie Antoine, 88 years, of Toledo, OH passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo Campus. The daughter of James and Elizabeth (Breidling) Thompson, she was born on August 11, 1937 in Toledo, OH.

Ina graduated from Whitney Vocational High School. She attended “Practical Nurses Training” at St. Charles Hospital, it was there she met her future husband, George. He was recovering from back surgery, lying there weak and tired, he managed to ask the question that started it all…Don’t I know you from somewhere?”

Ina and George enjoyed square-dancing, attending conventions with all their matching outfits that Ina had sewn, as she was a very talented seamstress. For years she worked in the produce department at Foodtown. Ina’s garden was her pride and joy with carnations being her favorite flower and George would send them to her all the time. Ina loved traveling and going to the beach but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Ina is survived by her children, Alan (Paula) Antoine, Kim Mason Rooks, Jeff (Judy) Antoine, Beth Antoine and Tina (Patrick) Roberts; grandchildren, Crissy, Matt (Nicole), Josh (Michelle), Jacob, Eric and Brandy; as well as many great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, George.
