James Huff

James D. Huff, 75 years of LaSalle, MI passed away March 11, 2018 at Aspen Grove Assisted Living, Lambertville, MI. The youngest of six siblings, James was born on November 26, 1942 to  John and Lutie (Cumbo) Huff  in Van Lear, KY.

James married Nancy Vallade on December 14, 1963 in Monroe, MI. He attended the University of Toledo under an apprenticeship with General Motors Powertrain in Toledo, OH.  Later he taught electrical courses and programmable controls for General Motors and Owens College. He also taught two years for Toledo Technical Academy.  In his retirement he enjoyed travelling with his wife Nancy and being involved with family and friends.           

 James is survived by loving wife, Nancy; son, James (Tammi) Huff; daughter, Paula (Tim) Loop; grandchildren,  Desiree, Jake, Harley, Braylon, Spencer; siblings, Sarah Caudy, Roberta Hodgkinson, Nella Clay, Harold Huff and Betty (Don) Perry. He was  preceded in death by his parents. 

            Visitation will be held Wednesday,  March 14, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance, where he will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society.
