Jennette “Nettie” Christine (Monnett) Gutierrez, 37 years, of Nekoosa, WI and native to Temperance, MI died in her home on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.
Jennette “Nettie” was born on January 5, 1984 in Toledo, OH to Deno and Kimberly (Keeler) Monnett. She graduated from Bedford High School in 2002.
She married Jonnathan Gutierrez in 2002 and together they had Jade, Jonathan, Jake and Jace. Jennette completed a culinary program at the Culinary Art Institute of Michigan, a degree in Social Work from Owens Community College and a BSSW from Spring Arbor University. Her passion was helping others. Jennette was a former employee of a local women’s shelter; where she enjoyed working with the Staff and Clients, she also enjoyed volunteering there. You could find Jennette spending her free time with her family and friends, playing volleyball, coaching soccer with the kids, cooking/baking, and crafting with her children, nieces and nephews. Jennette had a contagious smile that would light up a room. Her kind heart and generosity touched all she knew.
She is survived by her husband, Jon; children, Jade, Jake, and Jace; parents, Kim (Leroy) LaPlante; Deno Monnett, Sr; siblings, Jaimi, Jessi (Dave), and Deno (Heather); grandparents, Ima and Lawrence Keeler; nieces and nephews, Kent Jr., Kamren, Alex, Dylen, Chloe, Maci, Johannah, Marley, Maize, Jemma, and Carter. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jonathan; her Aunt Janet, Uncle Buck, and Aunt Brenda; and grandparents, Patricia and Don Monnett.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue Temperance, MI where the funeral service will be held Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Cremation will follow. Her ashes will be buried at a later date in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Erie, MI. Due to Covid19, everyone will be required to wear a mask.
