Jerome (Jerry) T. Operacz passed away at his home surrounded by his family. The son of Chester and Stella Operacz. A graduate of Roger High School, a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate, and a Master’s in Finance from the University of Toledo. He worked many years at Tenneco Automotive in Monroe MI., where he traveled extensively throughout the world.
An avid traveler, his favorite vacation place was a nice warm beach in the Caribbean to snorkel and explore with his family. Family came first for Jerome, gathering his flock at his small MI Farm where the grandkids, nieces and nephews loved to go frogging or play on the ice and snow on the pond behind the house.
Jerome loved his sports especially the Pistons, Tigers and Lions. He always looked forward to fishing on Lake Michigan for salmon and Lake Erie for walleye and perch. Jerry loved to build such as changing a three season room into a sunroom, or remodel a kitchen and bathroom. He was not one to sit very long.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Katherine. Surviving are his wife Sally, children Nichole (John) Flores, Charissa (Joseph) Marconi, Madison and Olivia; sister, Patricia (Don) Munkacy; brother, Joseph; 4 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
