He and Cheryl traveled on the motorcycle to Maine, New York, Ontario, Tennessee and North Carolina the first few years. Then they added a trailer and headed west, all the way to the Rocky Mountains and back with friends, Jim and Sue Andreini.
Later years were spent visiting Hawaii and the Bahamas on sale trips won by Cheryl and taking cruises with Pat and Ron Richards. A lake cottage on Long Lake in Reading, MI filled their summers for 27 years.

(Dolly) Murphy; grandchildren, Max Schultz, Noelle Karia, Nikki Weiland (Billy), Matthew Karia, Shelby Jenkins (Josh), Madison Murphy, Samantha Baker and Jake Baker; step great-grandchildren, Eliza Weiland, Aubree Weiland and Parker Karia; twin brother, John F.
