Judith Ann Olson, 79 years, of Temperance, MI passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 in Toledo Hospital. The daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Snyder) Baumgartner, she was born October 21, 1943 in Luna Pier, MI. She attended Luna Pier and Monroe High School. On June 23, 1962 she married Leonard Olson at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Erie, MI, they spent 43 years together until he passed April 8, 2006. Judy received her Associates degree from MCCC, graduating summa cum laude and worked many years at the Ida High School Library.
A great sense of humor, she always had an amusing story to add in a conversation. She loved attending concerts, especially Bob Seger and going to Tigers and Mud Hens games. Judy enjoyed traveling to Georgia and Florida with her husband and visiting Lakeland, FL to catch the Detroit Tigers training in the spring. Most of all Judy loved spending time with her family, always making it a priority to attend her grandkids’ activities.
Judy is survived by her loving daughters, Helen (Jim) Williams, Amy (Steve) Ricker, Laura (Kevin Gutierrez) Olson, Mary (Matt) Ramsey, Susan Olson; grandchildren, Ian Baker, Ashleigh Cousino, Sarah (Brandon) Goldman, Zachary (Heather) Williams, Sarah (Jordyn) Bunker, Bradley (Aaron) Kruse-Diehr, Jack Campbell, Nicholas Williams, Kade Ramsey, Chloe Kruse, Liam Ramsey and Stephanie (Brent) Coakley; 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild arriving in May; sister, MaryLou Sweeney; brother, Michael Baumgartner; sisters-in-law, Jerrie Baumgartner, Pam Baumgartner, Nancy Olson, Lyndene Olson and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Husband; parents; brothers, Early “Bud”, Joseph “Skip”, Robert, Jack and William Baumgartner; sisters, Carole and Linda Baumgartner.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI. where the Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow.
