Kathleen Katherine Boudreau, 86 was born to Edward and Hattie Krell January 22,1931 in Owosso MI, the 7th of 11 children. She grew up in Toledo, Ohio, graduating from Woodward High School in 1948. She married Charles Boudreau in 1950. They raised 8 children.
Family was the most important aspect of Kate’s life. Siblings visiting, chatting, playing cards together, there always seemed to be someone in their kitchen. She was a beautiful seamstress, making many of her children’s clothes, window coverings, anything else she set her mind to. Her baking and candy making will be missed by family and friends, especially her neighbors at Eaglestone. There were always cookies, cake or pie in her kitchen. She instilled a “can do” attitude in her children. There wasn’t a project she was afraid to tackle. “Granny” as everyone called her was known for her love of babies. Nothing made her happier than holding a child. She was proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, saying how lucky she was to have them in her life. She enjoyed traveling, taking many trips with her children, saying “if the car is going, she’ll be in it””.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles; grandchildren, Lindsay Boudreau, Sarah and Peter Wafalosky III. She is survived by her children, Nancy (Michael) Cook, David (Marsha) Boudreau, Jeanne (William Gerst) Boudreau, Girard Boudreau, Mark Boudreau, Lori (Greg) Glenn, Amy (Jane McKellep) Boudreau, Jennifer (Wayne) Freeman; sister, Leona Kinor; brothers, Richard Krell, Ronald Krell; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
