Leo Ogrodowski, 94 years, of Temperance, MI died peacefully on May 7, 2025 at Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania, OH where he had been surrounded by his family. The son of Leonard and Sophie (Janowski) Ogrodowski he was born August 8, 1930 in Toledo, OH.
A U.S. Army veteran, he served during the Korean War and retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1987.
Leo loved spending time with his family, especially his great-grandchildren who brought him so much happiness. He loved going out to eat especially at the Red Star Diner where he was always sure to joke around with the waitresses.
He is survived by his sons, Gerald, James (Gerri), and Robert Ogrodowski; daughter, Mary Jane (Marty) Whalen; best friend, Pat Lozinski; grandchildren, Jackie Ogrodowski, Nikki (Chris) Tiller, and Kelly Grider; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Rylee Tiller, Leo Ogrodowski, Beau and Cameron Grider; and many nieces and nephews who always took time to make him feel special and loved.
Leo was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Marie; daughter, JoAnn Seegert; and granddaughter, Jennifer Bender.
He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. We know that he is now reunited with his wife of 59 years, Rose, and he finally got that peck on the cheek from Jenny that he spoke of so often. You made it home Dad and you will be in our hearts forever until we are all reunited again.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on May 28, 2025 in Bedford Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Temperance, MI with Military Honors conducted by Lambertville VFW Post 9656.
