We regretfully announce the passing of Linda (Eighmey) Stoyanovich of Lambertville, MI on September 11, 2021. Linda was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully.
Steve and Linda first met at Monroe High School and went out on their first date after graduation. It was a double date with Nancy and Clarence Olson. They married in 1959. Their love story was the once in a lifetime kind. They were incredible role models for their family and friends. Steve and Linda were married for over 60 years and had four children, Dawn (Charles Clark), Dan (Mary), Scott, and Holly.
Linda was a fiercely dedicated mom to all of her children, raising all four of them to go on to accomplish great things. Family came first and was above all else to Linda, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.
Linda loved going to garage sales with her cousins. She was known to have one of the best ones in the area each summer. She loved to go on family vacations, especially going on cross country car rides, or to the Outer Banks to collect sea shells, or to Manitoulin Island in Canada. Linda was an excellent cook. Her turkey dressing was the best. She didn’t work from a recipe, so her children have been trying for years to replicate and we just can’t get it right! Linda loved living her life surrounded by animals. Her chihuahua, Bella, will miss her! Linda loved reading a great story and passed that same passion onto all her children.
After Steve’s retirement, they moved to northern Michigan and they built their dream log cabin in the woods near Ess Lake. They lived there happily for many years until health concerns brought them to Lambertville, Michigan.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Helen, and her brothers, Donald and Allen. She is survived by her loving husband, Steve, her four children, six grandchildren, and fourteen great -grandchildren.
Linda requested no services be held and that her ashes be laid to rest with her parents. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Monroe County Humane Society in her name.
Arrangements entrusted to Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave., Temperance, MI.
