Louis Henry Strauss Jr., 77 years, of Temperance, MI passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in the Toledo Hospital. The son of Louis Henry Sr. and Phyllis (Werstler) Strauss he was born April 23, 1946 in Toledo, OH.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Louis was a very kind, giving and jovial person. The first person to lend a helping hand or give someone a hard time. A 1966 graduate of Woodward High school he served his country in the U.S. Army.
Louis is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Ellen (Luce); children, Stacey (Ed) Franks and Brady Kesling; grandchildren, Noah and Logan Butts and Parker Kesling. He was preceded in death by his parents and 7 siblings.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. with luncheon to follow. Burial with Military Honors will then be held at Forest Cemetery, Toledo, OH at 1:45 p.m. conducted by the Lambertville VFW Post #9656.
