Lucille “”Lucy”” Marzec, age 86, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2016. The daughter of Michael and Pauline (Biniecka) Antoszewski, she was born on December 22, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio.
Lucy was a 1948 graduate of Woodward High School. She worked at Catholic Charities before becoming a homemaker; she began a career in real estate after raising her children.
Known for her legendary humor and charitable spirit, Lucy’s life centered around her faith and her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest pride, and she was present at every moment in their lives.
She is survived by her daughter, Su Breymaier; son, Tom (Candy) Marzec; grandchildren, Jacob (Shannon) Breymaier and Jacqlyn Breymaier, Tyler, Collin and Carlee Marzec; great-grandchildren Anthony and Mylee Marzec and Eleanor Breymaier
Lucy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward “Sam” Marzec, and her brothers, Walter and Carl Antoszewski.
In keeping with Lucy’s faith, a funeral mass will be held March 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 8330 Lewis Ave Temperance, MI where visiting will begin at 10:00 a.m in the narthex. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
