Mary Ann Witfoth

Mary Ann Witfoth, 87 years, of Erie, MI passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Aspen Grove Assisted Living in Lambertville, MI. The daughter of Herbert and Minnie (McCloskey) Showalter she was born on February 1, 1937 in Harbor View, OH.

A 1955 graduate of Whitmer High School, Mary married Francis E. Witfoth on June 18, 1957 at the Temperance Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed embroidery, sewing, ceramics, camping, word searches, and card games but above all she loved spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by her loving children, Frank (Mary-Jo) Witfoth, Diane (Richard) Frank, Thomas (Linda) Witfoth, David (Cindi) Witfoth and Sheri (David) Benore; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brothers, Wayne Showalter and Dean (Nancy) Showalter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis E. Witfoth; brothers, Herbert and LaVern Showalter.

The family would like to thank the staff of Aspen Grove Assisted Living for their loving care and kindness. A special thank you to her friends, Molly and Elaine at Aspen Grove.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI where the funeral service will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle, MI.
