Mary Catherine Grodi, age 78 years, of Temperance, MI passed away February 28, 2017 in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. The daughter of Henry and Edna (Sheele) Burton she was born on October 5, 1938 in Toledo, OH.
She married Louis Grodi on October 8, 1955 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ida, MI.
She loved spending time with her family. Mary never met a stranger. Her generosity to those in need was as unconditional as the love she had for all of her friends and family.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Louis of 61 years; children, James (Carla) Grodi, Thomas (Peggy) Grodi and Michael (Tracie) Grodi; daughter-in-law, Theresa Grodi-Kennon; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and sister, Rita Scheich.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark Grodi; brother, Donald Burton and sister, Lillian Schmidt.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI. The funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 4, 2017 in St. Gabriel Catholic Church Ida, MI at 11:00 a.m. where she will lie in state after 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery Ida, MI.
