Michael F. Samsel, 70 years, of Lambertville, MI passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026 in his home. The son of Francis and Sophia (Lukaszek) Samsel he was born February 10, 1955 in Toledo, OH.  He worked at Jeep Corporation for over 40 years, retiring in 2021.

Michael was the greatest girl dad, and he loved attending all of his grandchildren’s sporting events. An avid Michigan sports fan he also enjoyed spending his summer weekends attending classic car shows.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Debbie (Graff); daughters, Brianna (Steve) Miller, Alyssa (Aaron) Jennings, and Karra (Dan) Sohnrey; grandchildren, Brayden, Ava, Ethan, Cade, Tessa, Zac, Logan, Max, Harper, and Easton; brothers, Ron Samsel, Steve (Joann) Samsel; sister, Sr. Mary Irenaeus; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, David; and a sister, Patricia.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI. The funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, January 12, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance where there will be visiting in the narthex after 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

So very sorry for your loss. As Karra and Dan’s neighbors, we’ll remember seeing his joy when he’d drive down the road in his “Blue Classic Car.” I’ll remember seeing him coming to Karra’s aid whenever Dan would be deployed. Sometimes he’d be at Karra’s, a few times a day! I’ll remember looking across the street over to Dan and Karra’s house, and seeing the love and support Mr. Samsel had publicly shown to them all.
