Patsy Jean Shroyer, 73 years young, unexpectedly yet peacefully answered our Heavenly Fathers call to welcome her home on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at her home in Oregon, OH. The daughter of Elbert and Pauline (Cogar) Howell she was born on November 12, 1947 in Webster Springs, WV.
She graduated from Cloverleaf High School in 1968. She moved to Sandusky, OH in 1971 where she met her loving husband Larry Shroyer. They were married on February 19, 1972 having 2 children and attending Sandusky Church of God faithfully. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandma(mau mau), “Nana,” and sister to so many. She never met a stranger. She adored her family, kids, grandkids and all those who were her “adopted” kids or called her “Nana.” She loved traveling, playing scrabble and Yahtzee, watching Jimmy Swaggart and the Cleveland Indians and listening to Conway Twitty.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Shroyer; two daughters, Julie (Adam) Miller and Joyce Shroyer; five grandchildren, Sydney and Aaron Miller, Clayton, Trayston, and Jadelynn Elizabeth Rose White; brothers; Darrel Howell, John (Toni) Howell; sisters, Peggy Cogar, Donna Wilson and Kathryn Howell; six nieces and seven nephews. Patsy is preceded in death by both her parents, Elbert and Pauline (Cogar) Howell; brothers, Bill Howell and Tom Howell; sisters, Carol Ann Howell and Linda Furr-Biliczky; niece, Jeany Cogar.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave, Temperance, MI where the Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in North Oregon Cemetery in Oregon, OH. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family. Due to Covid-19 masks are required in the funeral home.
