Phyllis “”Mimi”” Hotchkiss, 94 years, of Lambertville, MI passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 in Magnum Care of Adrian, MI. The daughter of Phillip and Anna (Carter) Monnette she was born September 21, 1922 in Toledo, OH. She married Kenneth Hotchkiss on August 18, 1941 in Toledo.
“”Mimi”” loved to go to casinos, playing cards with family and friends, and playing games with her grandchildren. She loved to cook but her specialty was to bake pies and cookies.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Jack (Jeanne) Hotchkiss, Glen (Glenda) Hotchkiss; grandchildren, Todd (Cheryl) Hotchkiss, Chad (Connie) Hotchkiss, Derek (Jennifer) Hotchkiss, Allison (Richard) Zweifel, Karen Hotchkiss; 11 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; sisters, Alberta Kubitz, Ruth Doner and grandson, Ryan Hotchkiss.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI where the funeral service will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Lambertville Cemetery.
