Raymond L. Busby, age 90 years, of Petersburg, MI and beloved husband of Verna L. for 64 years passed on to glory Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Ray was employed for DTE for 37 years. The son of James and Marie (Chalut) Busby he was born October 4, 1930 in Lincoln Park, MI.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
He and Verna had spent 25 winters in Ft. Myers, FL. Ray was an old timer of Alcoholics Anonymous for 40 years. He loved and enjoyed getting together with his whole family. Ray had a special loving spirit for all and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Verna (Kalanuk); son, Bob (Tina); grandchildren, Greg and Jaclyn; great-grandson, Blake; sisters, Irene, Dorothy; and many nephews and nieces. Ray was preceded in death by brothers, Dick, Ed, and Tom.
Visitation will be Friday, September 17, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave., Temperance, MI 48182 where the Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., with Fr. Jeff Poll presiding. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg, MI with Military Honors conducted by Lambertville VFW #9656.
