Regina Mary Meszaros, 89 years, of Lambertville, MI passed away peacefully on Monday, June 10, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of Adrian and Ethel (Cousino) Iott she was born on August 15, 1934 in Toledo, OH.
A 1952 graduate of Central Catholic High School, then began nurses training at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. Regina married John E. Meszaros on November 27, 1954 in St. Joseph Catholic Church Erie, MI. Regina worked at Key Bank as a banking supervisor retiring after 23 years of service on August 15, 1996. After her retirement, she joined the staff at Our Lady of Mount Carmel as the secretary of religious education for four years. Regina continued to be a catechist for children for many years. She was involved in bringing communion to the sick, and other activities that allowed her to share her faith.
Regina is survived by her loving children, Kathleen (Ronald) Comstock, Jeanne (Jim) Shugar, John (Amy) Meszaros, Robert (Patti) Meszaros, Thomas (Kim) Meszaros, Joseph (Lisa) Meszaros and Daniel (Maggie) Meszaros; 24grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Eleanor Salisbury and Kathleen Hannigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John E. Meszaros; son, Michael A. Meszaros; grandson, ChristopherComstock; sisters Donna Mae DeGue, Margaret Mary Dusseau, and Ruth Ellen Ginther.
The family would like to thank Brookelynn Wheatherholt, Ayfer Wallace and Macy Letson along with Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their loving care of Regina during her final months.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church 8330 Lewis Ave., Temperance, MI where visiting will begin after 10:00 a.m. in the narthex. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave., Temperance, MI. Memorial donations may be made to the Our Lady of Mt.
