Rita Seals

Rita M. Seals, 91 years, of Temperance, MI passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014 in Toledo Hospital.  The daughter of Guy and Ida (Poupard) Trabbic she was born on July 23, 1923 in Temperance, MI.  On June 2, 1945 she married Clifford N. Seals in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church who preceded her in death in 2004.

Rita liked to cook and feed her family.  Anyone who came to the farm house had to have her homemade cookies.  She also enjoyed gardening and canning especially with her children.  Rita enjoyed scrapbooking and in her earlier years she made braided rugs. Her cat named Sam was a big part of her life.  Rita was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.

She is survived by her loving children; Pamela (Roger) Upp, Paul (Robin) Seals, Sandy (Ed) Brushaber, Brian (Sandi) Seals, Kevin Seals, Eric (Kathy) Seals, Julie (Ray) Wilson, Todd (Cathy) Seals, 21 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren.  Along with her husband, Rita was preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Donaldson; her 7 siblings; Stanley Trabbic, Isabelle Stelzer, Irene Schaub, Hilda Schaub, Gloria Cook, Miranda Trabbic and Hillary Trabbic.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue Temperance, MI.  The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Temperance, MI., with burial to follow in church cemetery.
