Robert “Chico” Allan Flaczinski, 68 years, of Temperance, MI died on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. The son of Stanley and Christine (Kubicz) Flaczinski, he was born July 30, 1947 in Toledo, OH.
He was a graduate of Woodward High School Class of ‘65 and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, serving on the USS Gainard DD706. Bob was employed for 35 years with the Dana Corporation, in the factory, and was a proud member of the AFL-CIO UAW LOCAL 12. He loved participating in many sports during high school and after by coaching girls basketball and softball. Bob played on several different teams in the area including the Dana fishing, bowling, golfing, racquetball, and softball teams. Chico excelled in anything and everything he did. Bob really enjoyed being a long time active member of the Dana Spicer Sportsmen’s Club with many of his closest friends. He loved his sports but loved his family even more.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Donna Rose (Warley); his children, Brad (Jill) Flaczinski, Amanda Rose Burns; grandchildren, Hailey, Charles Jr., Brad Jr., Amelia Rose, Abigail Rose, Travis, Dominic; his brother, Ron; sister, Jan (Chris) and special niece and nephews; Amber (JT), Mason, Jay, Nick and many more nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his sister-in-laws, Beverly Clark, Pamela (Glenn) Warley-Adkins and brother-in-law, Dr. Robert Warley. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 1, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. in Abundant Life Church 8971 Lewis Avenue Temperance, MI. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
