Ryan Alan Detvay, 36 years, of Coffee Springs, AL passed away on October 7, 2024. The son of Darlene Blair he was born on December 14, 1987 in Erie, MI.
A 2006 graduate of Pocahontas High School, Ryan excelled in both football and track. He was an avid University of Michigan and Detroit Lions football fan. In 2021, Ryan moved to Florida to be near his mother, it is here where he enjoyed the sun and beaches. A little later he moved to Alabama to be with his mother.
Ryan is survived by his mother, Darlene (Mark Brayton) Ripperger; brothers, Shawn Little, Shane (Nicole) Little and Blair Ripperger; grandmother, Betty Blair; aunts and uncles, Bonnie (Jeff) Stiner, Patty (Albert) Iosue, Carol Palko, Sue (Rick) Boose, Diane Moreno, Bobbie (Jerry) Wetzel, David (Cathy) Blair, James Blair, Michael and Nancy (Scarlette) Blair as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Blair and great-grandmother, Irene Blair.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Fr. Patrick Rohen, Captain, U.S. Army (Retired) in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Erie, MI where his cremated remains will be laid to rest by his Pipi Blair.
