Shirley Ziemkiewicz

Shirley Ziemkiewicz, 91 years, of Lambertville, MI passed away Friday, November 28, 2025 in Vibrant Life Senior Living in Temperance. The daughter of Leo and Irene (Rygalski) Jankowski, she was born on January 18, 1934 in Toledo, OH.

She had worked at Teledyne CAE as an executive secretary for over 33 years.

Shirley spent her childhood growing up in the old Polish Village and was a graduate of Woodward High School. June 22, 1984, she married the love of her life, Ernest A. Ziemkiewicz and he preceded her in death on March 10, 2008.

She is survived by her niece, Bonnie (Eric) Johanssen, nephew, Kenneth (Christina) Zawodni; niece in-law, Denise Zawodni; stepchildren, Marie (Chuck) Nichols, Denise (Mark) Lykowski, Pamela (Tom) Rumpf, Ernie (Carla) Ziemkiewicz; step grandchildren, Rachel, Lindsay, Nick, Sara, Adam, Haley, Shawn, Elizabeth, T.J., Ashley, step great-grandchildren, Myles, Ellis, JP, Jane, Karter, Grace, Harlyn, Ethan, Isla, Sailor, Madison, Owen, Garcin; great-nieces and nephew, Kara, Sonja (Tim), Jana (Brian), Samantha (Pete), Alyson (Lee), Richard, Kelly, Kate (Drew); great-great nieces and nephews, Jack, Miles, Maxwell, Everly, Bode, Jackson, Chase, Zaccary, Sierra, Haley, Essie, Sadie, Alexis, Eleanor, Sophia, Leighton, and Levee Leigh; her special pet “Buddy” and many cousins.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Norma (Roman) Zawodni and a nephew Rick Zawodni.

Visitation will be Friday, December 5, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI. Burial will be private in Toledo Memorial Park.
